Hello, to make this quick I found what looks to be like a set of Soviet badges in a flea market in Florence. It was only two euros so I bought one as a gift, and now I'm curious as to what the Russian inscription actually means. This should link to an Imgur display of the badge.

I'm sorry, reading my original post I realize I may have come off as rude! Thank you for your time in this matter.

Hello. There is no rudeness in your post. The inscription on the badge means in Russian "Отличник Советской Армии", in English "Excellent soldier of the Soviet Army".
