Term:
A name for a Russian Blues CATTERY in Australia
by romy (CZ/AU), 2009-11-23, 05:44  Spam?  ...
Hello, I'm calling in from the German-English society. Can somebody please help me to choose a good name to register my cattery? I own two pure-bred RUSSIAN BLUE queens (cats) and want to start breeding with them soon. The rules of the Australian Breeder's Club are that the name of the cattery must be ONE word only. I thought of transscribing the Russian term for "beauty" or "royalty" into English. Would this one work:
krasanisha ?

http://enru.dict.cc/?s=beauty
There are no entries in dict.cc for "royalty" yet. Can anybody give me a hint?

The Russian for the colour "royal blue" is:
королевский синий
korolevski sini.
Yes, I know it's two words; could they be juggled?

transliteration of "beauty" and "royal" from Russian into English #477778

The correct transliteration of "beauty" from Russian into English looks like this: "krasavitsa". If you want to give this name to a cattery, you should capitalise the initial letter "k": "Krasavitsa".
As far as "royalty" is concerned, it can be similarly transliterated as follows: "Koroleva". "Koroleva" is actually "queen" but, if I got you right, you have to use only one word, so you have to resort to some word juggling to fit into this rule. Otherwise it is impossible to translate "royal" by means of a single word.

I'll go for Krasavitsa then.
